Elvis/Colonel 1956 Prototype GuitarElvis Presley Guitar © 1956 - Extremely rare black guitar with gray cardboard case. Face of guitar has color picture of Elvis and a hound dog. The case is not in great shape. The guitar is beautiful, better than mint condition. Like new! This guitar was part of the Colonel's collection in Madison, Tennessee. This is not the version that most collectors are aware of. Although rare, the brown bodied guitar with brown case was widely distributed and sold in 1956. This version from the Colonel's collection, that features the black bodied guitar and gray case never made it to the public and as a result is extremely hard to find and, of course, this special one with its Colonel pedigree is an important piece of rock 'n roll memorabilia history.This item will be professionally boxed and weighed for proper postage.
