Rarest Original Elvis Commercial Album In History-Making Condition

Original RCA Victor silver top - Long 33 1/3 play - B.D.O.T. This is not just another copy of this legendary LP. It is, in fact, the original and very first pressing. To begin with the cover is practically brand new. Rich vibrant color both front and back, perfect spine, seams and corners. Both the front and back covers are stunning and is still in its original shrink wrap. It is as close to mint perfection as you will ever find. The record appears to have never been on a turntable, featuring perfect labels and shiny, like new vinyl. There are a couple of very small and light paper scuffs probably caused by taking the record out of its original Elvis RCA innersleeve. If this record was ever played it couldn't have been more than once. The cover itself not only features the famous images of Elvis in his suit of gold but has the RCA Victor Magic Millions along with Nipper in a gray box on the top right hand corner of the cover. Many top collectors have argued that this impossible, until now, to find first version of the cover ever existed outside of RCA's mockup and original publicity for this release. They are obviously wrong. The back cover shows Elvis in the famous raincoat portrait. This image fills the entire 12x12 frame. No white boxes containing RCA explanations of mono or stereo are present. Once again this separates this copy from all others ever offered. One final note; stamped in the dead wax area is the number and letter "A1" identifying this record as being a true first run that came off of the press during the initial pressing.

  LP: This is an original RCA long 33 1/3 play black label dog on top with RCA Victor in silver. Both the record and cover are in great collectible condition. The labels are really pretty and clean, just a few light spindle marks. The vinyl is shiny and equal to the labels. Side 1 has a couple light paper scuffs and can easily be called mint minus. Side 2 has a few more paper scuffs than Side 1. The front cover, seams and spine are mint. The back cover has a hint of wear middle of top but is extremely close to mint.

  LP: What a great album. The king dressed in gold on the cover of this classic original first pressing album. The cover features perfect seams and perfect spine. 3 corners are practically new, crisp and straight. Bottom right-hand corner, although not visible, as tiny, and I mean tiny, edge bump which can be felt with your finger but not seen. Gray Magic Millions with RCA Victor and Nipper box on top right corner of front cover as only original first pressings had. Back cover on a scale of 1-10 is a 9 3/4. Brilliant colors, not a hint of circle wear. One tiny, less than 1/16" rub is the only thing that stops this from being mint perfection. Tiny stick pin hole in corners. This cover is a keeper. The record, which of course is the black label with Nipper on top center with silver RCA Victor and Long 33 1/3 Play at bottom of label. Labels are clean, vinyl still has shine, has some scuffs but is still in very good condition.

  LP: Here's an opportunity for you to own the mega-rare and next to impossible to find original first press Date With Elvis book cover without the red sticker. RCA did not know what song titles they would be including on this album as Elvis was in Germany serving his country. When they printed this original issue cover they waited until they had decided what songs to include and then had a sticker printed with the songs titles which they applied to the front cover. A very few, mostly those that were either shipped to radio stations or used with the Golden Age aluminum banner, existed without the sticker. Paul Lichter's Elvis Unique Record Club is proud to offer this near mint beauty in its original loose baggie.

Let's start with the record. It is stone mint, uncirculated and unplayed. The vinyl is as shiny and beautiful as the day it was pressed. The gorgeous RCA black dog on top original 33 1/3 long play labels are pristine.

The cover is a stunning mint minus. Normally this cover is notorious for showing edge wear along the sides and the spine. The spine is virtually perfect as are all edges. The front cover is looks virtually new. When held under a strong light a RCA manufacturing crease can be seen about 1" in the slick in the windshield of Elvis' car. There is a tiny, and I mean tiny, bit of wear on the top right hand corner on the front corner only. The back cover is just about stone mint.

The inside of the book cover is stone mint with the exception of a hint of blackening, very light, underneath the hole that RCA produced so that you can hang the Elvis calendar cover on your wall. This light hint of blackening was caused by the album cover being closed in its original loose baggie for the last 50 years. I am being extremely picky. Look at the picture and judge for yourself.

Incredibly this extraordinary collectors dream album in its original deluxe book cover with calendar back cover features what appears to be a rarely played close to brand new original silver RCA Victor long 33 1/3 label and vinyl that has the look and shine of the day it was made. The labels have one or two light spindle marks and the vinyl has maybe one tiny paper scuff. These blemishes, if you want to call them that, can only be seen under a florescent light if you try hard.

The cover is beautiful. Gorgeous color graphics on a snow white background with a perfect original red and white sticker, straight seams, nice corners and a near perfect spine that looks as if the book cover has never been opened. The inside with telegram and photos are mint. To be overly critical there are one or two tiny bits of white edge wear on the left side seam on the front cover, a tiny bit of yellowing about 1/16" on white background top edge above the "S" in "Elvis". Some white along the edge of the yellow back cover on right side. Folks, this extraordinary history-making album may not be stone mint but it is the nicest copy we've had in years.

  LP: Original RCA Victor silver top - Long 33 1/3 play - B.D.O.T. This is the amazingly rare version of the back cover that was meant to feature ads for other RCA LP releases at the time. This is the error version where RCA has forgotten to put the ads and photos. The story on back cover is much bigger, wider, longer, etc. than those covers that were printed by RCA that just featured the story. In other words the story printed here is laid out so that the ads for the other LPs could surround it and obviously the blank white speck on this back cover is because somehow someone at the RCA plant never ran the back cover through the press a second time, making this a monster rarity. Also note that the original $3.98 price still remains on the bottom right-hand back cover. The spine is mint and the title and prefix is as clean and new as the day they printed it. All seams are perfect. Colors on front cover couldn't be any more brilliant. Tiny tack hole in corners. When held under a strong light you can see a tiny crease that was caused when they originally glued the slick on 51 years ago. This is virtually invisible. Back cover is clean, white with just a tiny age spot near bottom left corner. Labels are clean with only a hint of spindle wear. Vinyl is shiny with a few light scuffs when held up to the light. This extraordinarily rare offering is in true collectible condition.

This beautiful copy has a spectacular, almost new, cover. The front retains all the color and feel of new, the seams and spine are beautiful. The back cover has the classic Elvis story written by RCA and still retains its beautiful white background with only the slightest hint of aging. A small and insignificant bump in the bottom left-hand corner and some very light whitening on top seam from when this album was originally stored on a shelf is the only thing that stops me from calling this cover mint. It is beautiful and would please just about any Elvis collector.

The record is every bit as nice as the cover. The beautiful shiny black original RCA label has all the shine of new and doesn't appear to have ever been on a turntable. The vinyl is just another amazing example of beauty. Only a paper scuff prevents this record from being new.

This cover has all the shine and luster of the day it was printed. Some light wear on the bottom edge of the back cover of this deluxe gatefold cover is what stops me from calling this cover brand new. The red leatherette spine with its gold embossed printing is gorgeous. Both the front and back covers are spectacular, like new. All corners and seams are also spectacular. The vinyl has one or two light paper scuffs which only can be seen when holding the record until a florescent light bulb. The labels are stone mint perfection. You could search forever and it would be almost impossible to find another in any better condition than this baby.

Original RCA Victor silver top long 33 1/3 play black dog on top label. Incredibly rare especially when one considers this 50-year-old Elvis classic is in almost brand new condition. From the gold foil stamping on spine to the bonus book of beautiful color photos and mint original "To"- "From" Gold Foil Sticker this LP is like stepping back in time.

The record shines like a piece of glass and is absolutely mint. Both labels are mint perfection.

Both the front and back covers feature beautiful color, full of shine and luster and can only be described as gorgeous mint. All seams and spine are tight and close to new. There is a tiny, and I mean tiny, spot of whitening on the bottom right edge corner of the back cover. It is so small that I feel guilty for mentioning it. The leatherette binding with gold stamping is gorgeous and about as nice as the day this album was born. This cover would be considered mint by virtually any Elvis collector. For those who cannot be satisfied I will call it mint minus. The inside front and back covers are as outstanding as the rest of this package. The book of photos is gorgeous, like new.

I've saved the best for last. The extraordinary rare gold sticker is mint and does not display any of the flaking normally found on this historic piece. This album, in this condition, is rarely offered.

  LP: A really nice copy of the original black label dog on top silver RCA Victor rare silver staggered stereo label. Labels are both very nice, close to mint with little or any wear. Vinyl retains full shine and luster. Side 1 is especially nice with light paper scuffs. Side 2, although nice, has a couple scratches. Overall a VG+ record. The cover features an almost perfect mint front with the slightest and tiniest hint of any wear at all. Seams, spine and corners are really very sharp and close to mint. Back cover shows very nicely. A couple of small stains in lower right bottom border are the only things that are stopping the back cover from being mint. If you are looking for a nice copy of the rare original staggered stereo version of this LP look no further.

Original RCA Victor silver top - Long 33 1/3 play - Black dog on top - A gorgeous copy of what many consider to be Elvis' best album - This breathtaking copy features the yellow title sticker showing The Girl Next Door on the front cover. The original label also features The Girl Next Door as the title. This is the nicest and cleanest copy we have had in stock in more than three decades. Both labels are mint. The vinyl on both sides are as shiny and new as the day it was pressed. Side 1 has two light scratches near the dead wax that can be seen not felt or heard. Side 2 is stone mint. The record also comes in the original and mega-rare RCA innersleeve promoting Broadway soundtracks. The cover is really beautiful and close to mint. The yellow sticker is mint. The colors and print on the front cover are simply outstanding. A couple of tiny wear marks not really visible without searching for them. The back cover would be called mint by any reasonable collector. To be safe I will call it near mint. Spine is perfect, corners are tight. A tiny hint of edge wear about 1/4" on lower right edge. The inside of the deluxe book cover featuring the bonus G.I. snapshots is stone mint. A near mint offering that is as nice an example of this album that you are ever likely to own.

The record is a strong mint minus with all the shine and luster of new. A few light spindle marks and one or two light scuffs are the only thing that separates this record from being called mint.

The corners and spine are tight, crisp and just about perfect. The fabulous back cover that features Elvis in his Army dress uniform is also stunning and mint. The front cove is equally as amazing. Only the tiniest hint of whitening at the bottom of Elvis' neck on the front cover prevents me from saying stone mint. It is in used but collectible condition. The colors are bright and bounce out at you. The front and back have a tiny bit of storage wear, nothing major. The spine retains all of its original printing. Both the top and bottom seams have some edge wear obviously from taking the LP on or off a shelf. Bottom right hand corner is soft with a slight corner rounding. I've done my best to tell you everything that is wrong. In reality this is the perfect copy for anyone wishing to add a mega rarity in really nice condition to their collection without breaking the bank.

The album is housed in a custom hard cardboard picture cover inneersleeve. The record, itself, features a different beautiful Elvis picture label on each side.   LP: Dick Clark's "Elvis" the motion picture starring Kurt Russell had higher ratings than Gone With The Wind that was broadcast at the same time on another network. The ABC film, in fact, was the highest rated TV movie of 1979. The soundtrack album was produced by Elvis' longtime producer Felton Jarvis and many of Elvis' musicians also appear as well as background vocals by the Jordanaires and Kathy Westmoreland. Of course both the film and soundtrack album would have suffered greatly had it not been for the great Ronnie McDowell. This album is still sealed and in stone mint condition.
