Author Michael Rose interviewed many people who were there and offers you a first person account of all the excitement. This is the Elvis that country legend Bob Wills aptly described as a 'punk' before controversy and Hollywood toned him down.

In 1971 the picture sleeve for Elvis' latest single advertised what was suppose to be Elvis' next album, Standing Room Only. It was scheduled to contain live recordings from Elvis' April 1972 tour. RCA scraped the idea when the rush released Elvis' June 1972 Madison Square Garden recording instead. Now, 28 years later, Standing Room Only will see the light of day thanks to the Follow That Dream label. It is being released as a recreation of the original proposed album. For unknown reasons Elvis' sound engineer never recorded the opening of the shows on this tour and consequently this great concert CD starts with Love Me. Many live and unreleased bonus songs from other locations on this tour have been added for you listening pleasure. Of particular interest are knockout performances of Reconsider Baby and Moody Blue.
